Concert: London Handel Players

One of the most remarkable Baroque ensembles of our time, the London Handel Players are renowned for their expressive depth and consummate skill and musicianship. For 25 years, the London Handel Players have thrilled audiences worldwide with their concerts and recordings, and their unsurpassed performances at major venues and festivals such as Wigmore Hall, Carnegie Hall, and the Göttingen and Halle Handel Festivals. For their Cyprus debut, the London Handel Players will take the audience on a journey where seminal Baroque composers such as Lully, Rameau, Telemann, Vivaldi, Corelli, Scarlatti, and Purcell, draw inspiration and use in their works elements from distant cultures – the Ottoman pageantry, Persian sophistication and Amerindian rhythms in French ballet and opera, the Polish bagpipes and polonaise dances, the Spanish folly and Indian vibrancy in Italian concertos, and the rustic energy of the British Isles. With this spectacular programme, the London Handel Players promise an evening of pure musical alchemy like no other!
