Edith Pageaud

Edith Pageaud is a French classical guitarist, professor, and international concert artist. She studied in Paris with Gérard Abiton, where she obtained her Diplôme d’Études Musicales at the age of 14. After studying Humanities and Philosophy at the university, she devoted herself fully to music and won the First Prize at the Drôme de Guitares International Competition (2022), the Roland Dyens “Révélation Guitare Classique” Competition in France (2023), the Florence International Guitar Competition in Italy (2023), and the Rust International Guitar Competition in Austria (2024).

Edith Pageaud is particularly celebrated for her distinctive repertoire and innovative personal arrangements of composers such as Rachmaninoff, Biber, Scarlatti, and Scriabin, as well as for her use of scordatura to explore the lower registers of the instrument. She is supported by the prestigious string brand Knobloch, and she currently performs internationally across Europe, the United Kingdom, Australia, and the United States.
