Established in 2007, the Apple Hill String Quartet has garnered international acclaim for its performances, demonstrating their masterly interpretation of classical repertoire as well as of new works by renowned composers from all over the world. From its position as the Artistic Director of the Apple Hill Center for Chamber Music, the Quartet has been instrumental in cultivating bonds between people of different backgrounds, cultures and ages, and it has appeared in such diverse venues as the Moscow Conservatory, Curtis Institute of Music, Gitameit Music School in Yangon, Myanmar, and the Ketermaya refugee camp outside Beirut. For its concert at The Shoe Factory, the Apple Hill String Quartet will present an exciting programme of string quartets spanning from 18th century masterpieces by Joseph Haydn and Chevalier de Saint-Georges to Cyprus premieres by Thomas Oboe and Shelley Washington, and a work for string quartet and clarinet by Kinan Azmeh, with the participation of the talented Cypriot clarinettist George Georgiou.

Για τη συναυλία του στo The Shoe Factory, το Κουαρτέτο Εγχόρδων Apple Hill θα παρουσιάσει ένα εντυπωσιακό πρόγραμμα με κουαρτέτα εγχόρδων, το οποίο εκτείνεται από αριστουργήματα του 18ου αιώνα των Γιόζεφ Χάιντν και Σεβαλιέ ντε Σαν-Ζωρζ, σε Παγκύπριες πρεμιέρες των Τόμας Όμποε και Σέλευ Ουάσινγκτον, καθώς και ένα έργο για κουαρτέτο εγχόρδων και κλαρινέτο του Κινάν Αζμέ, με τη συμμετοχή του ταλαντούχου Κύπριου κλαρινετίστα, Γιώργου Γεωργίου.
