Multimedia Music Installation: FEDORA

Fedora is a programming language for Linux, as well as the name of a dystopian future – conceived as a film, an electronic music album, and a multimedia installation. The work was created as part of Andreas Moustoukis’ residency at Dom Radio, and its premiere screening, and only screening so far, took place on 31 October 2025 at Dom Radio in Saint Petersburg. The Pharos Arts Foundation proudly presents this fascinating screening in presence of the composer.

“Fedora is a place in the distant future, where solitary, empty buildings rise, with no people inside them anymore. The Earth is abandoned. Civilisation, as we knew it, has ceased to exist. The sun has aged; everything lies under the pale light of an eternal afternoon, and dusty storms lash the deserted cities on the arid ground.

Yet nature still strives to survive. On the buildings, the aluminum glints uncorroded and remains the only reminder of our existence.

We existed here. The last echoes of our architectural geometry – our silent mark. The solitude and the dust beneath the night sky with its trembling stars – this is the only truth that remains after us”.
