PANDIT ARNAB CHAKRABARTY σαρόντ

With performances worldwide since 1998, Pandit Arnab Chakrabarty has given over 850 concerts in more than 30 countries. He has appeared in many prestigious music venues and major international festivals, including the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, the National Centre for the Performing Arts in Mumbai, the Copenhagen Jazz Festival, the Silk Road Festival in Damascus, Trafó Theatre in Budapest, Bridgewater Hall in Manchester, and the Saptak Festival in Ahmedabad. He has also lectured at universities such as the University of Leeds, Syracuse University, and the University of Texas at Arlington. A disciple of the traditional Lucknow and Shahjahanpur gharanas, he studied with renowned sarod masters including Dr. Kalyan Mukherjea, Ustad Irfan Muhammad Khan, and Pandit Buddhadev Dasgupta. His music represents a remarkably refined synthesis of his teachers’ influences, driven by his ongoing pursuit of perfect harmony between virtuosity and emotional expression.
