Molina Guitar Duo

Isabella Selder was born in Friedberg, Bavaria, and pursued her studies in Weimar, Barcelona, and Salzburg, where she earned a Master of Arts degree. A laureate of several international competitions, she has won awards at the IX Concurso Norba Caesarina in Cáceres and the XVIII Festival Internacional de Guitarra in Coria, Spain. In addition to her career as a soloist and as part of the Molina Guitar Duo, Isabella has served as a lecturer at the Department of Music Education at the University of Augsburg. She is a sought-after juror for national and international competitions and is deeply committed to pedagogy, regularly giving masterclasses and ensemble coaching at guitar festivals and advanced training courses.

Santiago Molina Gimbernat was born in Cancún, Mexico. At the age of 16, he was admitted to the Faculty of Music at the University of Veracruz, studying under Enrique Salmerón, and in 2014, he continued his studies at the Mozarteum University in Salzburg, where he completed his Bachelor’s degree with top honours. He has participated in masterclasses with distinguished musicians, including Jorge Luis Zamora, Horacio Franco, Cecilio Perera, Pablo Garibay, Omán Kaminsky, Rémi Boucher, Eliot Fisk, Pavel Steidl, and Scott Hill. A recipient of numerous prizes and awards in competitions across Mexico, Austria, and Croatia, he has performed internationally. Alongside his teaching commitments at the Gitarrenstudio Friedberg, the Neu-Ulm Music School, and the Department of Music Education at the University of Augsburg, Santiago is an active lecturer at workshops and has successfully guided students to competition success, most recently at the national Jugend musiziert competition in Germany.
