Roopa Panesar has performed in major concert halls and festivals across Europe, India, and the United States, including the Darbar Festival in London, the WOMAD UK Festival, and the BBC’s televised VJ75 event in the presence of the Prince of Wales. She has collaborated with the Belgian Symphony Orchestra, Talvin Singh, and the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra under Sir Simon Rattle, earning international recognition for her expressive and contemporary approach to the sitar. Trained from an early age under Ustad Dharambir Singh MBE, and later guided by masters such as Pandit Arvind Parikh and Ustad Shahid Parvez, Panesar blends her profound classical training with an open-minded approach to jazz and Western music.
