Since then, the Waldstein Trio has gone on to win several other awards: First Prize at the Medici International Music Competition; the Gold Prize and the Special Award for Best Professional Chamber Ensemble at the Amadeus International Music Awards, leading to performance at Salzburg’s Mozarteum – Großer Saal; Second Prize at the Fanny Mendelssohn International Competition; Third Prize at the Rising Stars Grand Prix 2023 in Berlin; First Prize at the Grand Prize Virtuoso International Music Competition in Bonn, leading to a performance at Beethoven’s House; and the First Prize at the Manhattan International Music Competition in New York City, leading to a performance at Carnegie Hall – Weill Recital Hall.

The members of the Waldstein Trio are eager to perform not only the standard piano trio repertoire but also to champion new music. Their most recent collaborations include works by living composers Sem Hak, Valentina Ciardelli, Bruno Heinen, Christodoulos Georgiades and Haris Kittos. In addition, the Trio performs piano quartet and quintet repertoire alongside renowned musicians such as Richard Markson, Raphael Wallfisch and Sascha Bota.

Recent performances include the Brahms Piano Quartets in Malta; a cycle of Shostakovich Chamber Works and Messiaen’s Quartet for the End of Time in London; Beethoven’s Archduke Trio and the Franck Quintet at North York Moors Chamber Music Festival. The London-based Trio appears regularly across the UK. Future performances include works by Beethoven, Shostakovich and Stephen Johnson at London’s Bechstein Hall, as well as a concert dedicated to music by female composers at the Hellenic Centre, London.
